Read-only access
TickPro is designed as a read-only account and position viewer.
What TickPro can read
Section titled “What TickPro can read”Depending on the provider, TickPro can retrieve:
- Account balances
- Open positions
- Position direction and leverage
- Entry price, mark price, and unrealized P&L
- Provider and account connection status
What TickPro cannot do
Section titled “What TickPro cannot do”A correctly configured read-only connection cannot:
- Place, modify, or cancel an order
- Transfer funds
- Withdraw assets
- Change exchange security settings
Permission validation
Section titled “Permission validation”For supported providers, TickPro validates the API credentials before saving them. Credentials with detected write permissions are rejected.
Credential protection
Section titled “Credential protection”API credentials are transmitted over encrypted connections and encrypted before being stored by the TickPro server. Secret values are not returned to the app after they have been saved.
You stay in control
Section titled “You stay in control”You can remove a connected account in TickPro at any time. You can also revoke or delete its API Key from the provider’s API management page, which immediately prevents further access with that credential.
